In a remote region of South Africa where three mountain ranges meet - the Drakensberg, the Witteberg and the Maluti - lies a very special place where the hand of man has brushed it but lightly, beautiful San rock art being the only sign of its former inhabitants. Tenahead is 3 500 hectares of unspoilt mountains, valleys and streams. It holds a treasury of flora and fauna and it is the perfect place to experience another life. more

TSITSIKAMMA LODGE
A warm welcome and friendly service awaits you at Tsitsikamma Lodge, winner of the prestigious AA Award for Best Leisure Hotel in South Africa in 2002, 2003 and 2004. Hall of Fame for 2005, 2006 and 2007.
Blending with the surroundings, built entirely of wood, our unique freestanding cabins offer spectacular mountain or forest views.
All the cabins have standard features: Private spa bath, BBQ (braai) facilities with private deck, T.V. with M-net, telephone and tea/coffee trays, as well as a mini fridge

MANSFIELD RESERVE
Perfectly situated midway between Port Elizabeth and East London and halfway between Durban and Cape Town, Mansfield Reserve and Lodge lies nestled amongst 1000 acres of lush undulating grassland and thornveld plateaus.
Vegetation is typical Eastern Cape sweetveld and bush with the landscape and kloofs providing ideal habitat for rare cycads, sneezewoods, yellowoods, Cape milkwoods, white ironwoods, pearthorn and knobthorns to name but a few.
This combination of sweet grassland, thornveld and densely wooded valleys make this Reserve unique and an ideal Game Reserve.
This biosphere is perfect for both browsers and grazers, which allows varied stocking capacity and variety of game.
Port Alfred has for years been the holiday choice for generations of families which have enjoyed the peaceful safe environment and pristine beaches and surf.
The lodge is only a short drive (or by boat a little longer) from the beach and river mouth (which has Indian Ocean access).
